Aloha! I have an MA in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am also a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor with the State of Hawaii, Department of Health Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division. I'm an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor under the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium.

As a Lecturer at Hawaii Community College, I teach classes face to face and online in the subject areas of addiction to fulfill the educational requirements for counselor certification with the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division for the State of Hawaii, Department of Health.

Families are destroyed by the addiction process of an individual. The treatment of chemical dependency is comprehensive with changing information on new medications, new modalities of treatment and the ever changing neurophysiology of addiction. It is gratifying to be part of the education and healing process of our multicultural community.
